Best. Add a Comment. pschaef9 • 2 yr. ago. Try closing Steam, then opening task manager and closing Steam (32bit) and Ubisoft (32 bit). Both of those should close all associated programs still running after Steam was closed. Then restart Steam. This seemed to resolve the same problem for me.
Multi-Fix for Far Cry 2 - Fixes all known bugs (except for the mysterious but unnecessary no phone-sound bug. - the same info is available in your journal) - Sets FOV - Limits FPS to 60 (required) and offers several play modes. - Without this launcher you could end up with game ending bugs.
Im actually not talking crap your the one trying to start a arguement, I will report you if you harras me or insult me. I am trying to help the guy that is having problems with the game but you come on here and start to run your mouth.
Possible solution: 1. Go to steam install directory\\steamapps\common\Far Cry Primal\bin. 2. Right click on FCPrimal.exe and click propreties. 3. Under the Compatibility tab check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows 7. #3. Rii Nov 26, 2016 @ 9:38am.
Rename the Multi-Fix launcher to FarCry2.exe. In your steam library there's a listing on the left. right click on the game and select properties. Path should look something like this: "-exe [Drive] :\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 2\bin\FarCry2.exe".
k8gscHD. Since about a year ago I haven't been able to launch the game. Tried playing with the Compatibility options in properties, verifying files, uninstalling, reinstalling, reinstalling windows, messing with windows defender, but none of that worked. But I can't for the life of me figure out if it's a compatibility issue or something simple I'm missing.

-Change resolution to windowed (borderless) mode. won't affect your game in any way but it's a common workaround with many games (e.g. company of heroes) All of above made my game launch every time. Good luck !
Also, remember to disable the Uplay overlay completely when playing so you don't keep crashing at the end of missions (Far Cry 3 can do this too, but Blood Dragon is much worse). GLHF. Edit: Actually you may no longer need to do the overlay thing, I can't get the FPS to show up so maybe it is "unsupported" now, which is probably for the best
Hello, I've had some serious issues with Far Cry 4 and other Ubisoft games lately. Opening and even trying to uninstall Uplay completely froze my computer and the only thing I could do was restart my computer the hard way. Yesterday I refreshed my Windows 8.1 and reinstalled Far Cry 4 and Uplay. The game worked yesterday, I played for about an hour and went to sleep. Today I came back and
