Just to add to John's answer: If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you should be able to find apps there that can help with this. One app that comes to my mind is Issue Matrix for Jira, which extends the issue view. I myself work on an named JXL for Jira, which allows viewing sets of issues in an Excel/Google Sheets-style
Marketplace Partner. Jun 18, 2020 • edited. Issue in epic are not considered subtasks of epic. Jira has a Customfield named Epic Link. If you would like to create an issue under an epic, the child issue of the epic should have epic link custom field value with the epic key. Note, Parent is only used for creating subtakss.

Go to the Backlog of your Scrum project. Open the epic panel by using the toggle in the epic filter dropdown. Task. Instructions. Add a new epic. In the epic panel, select + Create epic. You can also select Create in the top navigation bar, then change the issue type to Epic. Update an epic's details.

. Welcome to the community. As @Marianne Miller details you can reorder them (reprioritize them) in the Backlog view. The changes you make there will be reflected if you open the Epic issue itself and view the list of child stories. Otherwise, while directly viewing the Epic you cannot reorder its child issues. This is true for Classic projects.
Select > Issues. Click Workflows. Select the workflow transition you want to change and click Edit. In the Workflow Editor, select the transition. Click Conditions in the properties panel. You can construct complex conditions by grouping and nesting conditions. Change any condition into a group by clicking Add grouped condition for each condition.
Once all subtasks had been converted into tasks, enter the task that you'd like to convert into an epic and click on More > Move. Leave the project unchanged and just change the type from task to epic. Finally, associate the tasks with the epic. Kelly Johnson Jul 30, 2017. Epics. One epic per swimlane. Issues that don't belong to an epic are grouped below the swimlanes. Any epics that aren’t part of the board's current filter will be hidden from the board. Save and add the Custom Field to your Issue Type. Write a Filter that returns all the Issues you want this set for and Perform a Bulk Update of these Tickets and set them to "N/A" or whatever value you chose from step 1. Upon Bulk completion this field will now have a value and be visible on all Tickets changed in 4. Done.
